HUMAN RIGHTS

Section 30 of the Law on Human Rights of 1993 provides for the establishment of special courts, known as Human Rights Courts, in each district in order to facilitate the speedy trial of criminal offences committed in the context of human rights violations. Currently, the Supreme Court is deliberating on the issue of the establishment of such courts in all districts. The Firm is committed to upholding and upholding the principles of human rights. We draft petitions, represent/appear before commissions, high courts and the supreme court of India on behalf of our clients in order to safeguard and enforce the human rights guaranteed by the constitution of India. Criminal Law

Criminal law includes all trials for all types of offenses punishable under penal laws as well as actions before executive and judicial magistrates related to law and order. The Sessions Judge, Metropolitan Magistrate, or Judicial Magistrate of First Class preside over the trials. Criminal law covers things like regular bail, anticipatory bail, appeals, quashing petitions, special leave petitions, and more.

The Firm handles the full criminal process on behalf of its clients, including appearances, arguments, and cross-examination before the Court of Law. The Firm additionally offers legal insight and counsel regarding legal issues.

Industriel Law

Commercial Law is one of the most complex and dynamic areas of law. Given its importance, a new law was introduced in 2015 with a special procedure and an independent mechanism to expedite the resolution of the commercial disputes of defined value, i.e., constitution of commercial courts at district level, commercial appeal courts at district judge level, commercial division and commercial appeal division. The Firm offers full litigation support to its clients, whether they are companies, firms or individuals. We advise on all matters arising out of the commercial transactions, including complicated commercial legal matters. We draft agreements, legal documents and pleadings on behalf of our clients. We also represent/appear on their behalf before the commercial courts, the high courts and the supreme court of India.

Rajiv Legal has a long history of providing pro bono legal services to those with limited resources. We believe the firm’s impressive pro bono track record is due to the wide range of opportunities offered by our volunteers. Our services are provided free of charge / pro bono to the public good for a wide variety of clients, including individual asylum seekers, as well as some of the largest charities and NGOs (non-governmental organisations) in the world. Our pro bono client will receive the same level of care and attention that we provide to our fee earning clients; after all, we owe our clients the same professional obligations. When cases necessitate cross-practice and cross-country support, we assemble teams from the widest range of disciplines and offices available.
